Description
The T6S core barrel has a two-part split inner tube. This makes it possible even in very loose formations, such as commonly encountered in site investigations, to recover cores of high quality.
The split inner tube leaves room for the core to swell slightly. The bits used with T6S have a greater wall thickness than those used with standard T6 barrels and are usually of the face-discharge type.
The T6S can be used with water or mud- flush and is available for hole sizes ranging from 76 to 146 mm.
